Cardiff sparks target NG Bailey at university site

“Is this a picket line?” one spark going into the Cardiff NCMH Bouygues site asked. “Because if it is we won’t cross”. There was a great response from all workers going onto the site which also has an NG Baileys project on it. As well as sparks on the protest line there were ex-UCATT brickies, Unite regional reps, and solidarity from Cardiff Trades Union Council members.

But the Bouygues manager of the site wasn’t too happy. He kindly told us he wouldn’t call the police this time – if we didn’t park in the local residents parking spaces. But then a resident walking past told us, not to worry we can park where we like, because they support the sparks.

The campaign is beginning to ramp up – another protest next Wednesday.
